Self-Care Isn’t Selfish: Why Rest and Reiki Matter

We often glorify being busy, but rest is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. When we ignore our need for downtime, our bodies eventually remind us with fatigue, irritability, or even illness.

Reiki is a powerful form of self-care because it encourages deep rest without requiring effort from you. You simply lie down, breathe, and allow the energy to flow. That stillness is where real healing begins.

Self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant. It can be as simple as saying “no” when you’re overbooked, taking a walk in nature, or carving out 30 minutes for a Reiki session. The more you care for yourself, the more you can show up fully for others.
Remember: you can’t pour from an empty cup. Self-care fills it back up.
